The engine block has the date, time, and shift if was made stamped on it. (You can see it in the photos) from what we can tell it is an original car, with no modifications to it. Down to it dual master cylinder, to it radiator hose clip. Go through the photos and see for yourself. The car does has a nice repaint on it.
The engine date is correct, a couple of months before the build date of the car. As it should be.
The transmission has the vehicle’s vin stamped on it, and clearly an original stamp. Not a restamp.
The date on the rear differential is correct, and it is the right rear
The fender tag has all the correct information on it, it is a real correct RT tag. AND THE SEQUENCE NUMBER ON THE BOTTOM RT CORNER OF THE TAG MATCHES THE SEQUENCE NUMBER STAMPED ON THE DRIVER QUARTER PANEL under the weatherstripping, as it should be there. And the numbers look as they should, clearly not a restamp.
Body Vin Tag: This is the original correct tag, that has not been tampered with.

THE REAL DEAL, THAT ACTUALLY CHECKS OUT
For being an original car, everything is in marvelous condition; the weather-striping on the car is in mint condition, the brakes work excellent; no need to pump the brakes. It has power steering, manual windows and bucket seats, reflectors on both front fenders and also on the back of the car. (This is standard in 1968) The engine is incredible stock option high output 375 horse power 440 V8 that runs great, it also has AM / FM (It came with AM radio; I believe it has a factory upgrade for the FM, it has heat, defroster, and an upgraded light package. The power convertible top is in good working order, no tears, rips, and goes up and down smooth. The floors of the car are in superb shape, and so is the trunk and engine compartment.
The car is a turn key driver, it drives great, turns nicely in tight quarters, starts up effortlessly, and runs quiet. The brakes work great and it stops fast.
The electrical is working fine. All headlights, turn signals, and interior lights work. The weather stripping is good. The super cool Redline Tires are correct for the car, and the trim is clean and rust free. No dents on the body, doors, or hood and trunk. The body panel gaps and alignment are good. The fresh paint looks nice and really shines.
