1965 Chevrolet Nova II Details

This is a 1965 Chevy II Nova powered by a small block Chevy 350ci. It is an all metal car that has never been rusted out. It was originally a California car. It has fresh paint, new interior, and a rebuilt motor. While this car will really move, its still a smooth reliable driver.

This car has a 1990’s model 350ci Chevy engine that has been rebuilt. It has a mild cam and a ZZ4 style intake and heads. There is a Holley 600cfm carb with a spacer. The ignition is HEI. The exhaust setup has Hooker Super Competition headers and Flowmaster pipes. The transmission is a turbo350 with a low stall converter and a B&M Shifter. The rear end is a 10 bolt with posi-trac and has a street gear so that the car can actually be driven easily. The car has a stock front suspension with multi-leaf springs and 4-wheel manual brakes. It has power steering and also a fresh front end and brakes.

The car has an all metal body with very little work done. The car has never been rusted, therefore doesn’t have any patch panels. The glossy red paint has very few imperfections as the car has been repainted recently. The chrome is all in good shape with no rusting anywhere. The doors on the car all close nicely, but they require an extra little push because of the new soft seal door moldings that have been installed. The body panels all line up properly and nothing rubs when you open doors. The glass on the car is in good shape with no pitting or chips. All of the lights and signals work as they should. The wheels are Chevy Rally wheels with aftermarket spinner caps. The front tires are brand new 195/65-15 and the rear tires are 215/65-15, both Hankooks.

The interior has been redone to original standards. It has red vinyl covering the bench seats. The dash is all original and painted red to match the car. It has the rare radio delete plate. It has the original heating system that still works. The factory speedo and fuel gauge all work properly and illuminate at night. “There has also been a tach added in the dash, and it fits in nicely. It also has an aftermarket sunpro gauge pod under the dash with temperature, oil pressure, and amperes gauges. The carpet is in great condition with no picks or stains. The door panels all have been replaced. The car still has all of the original chrome pieces on the interior and they are a little pitted, but all present. The windows all roll up and down easily and don’t get caught up anywhere.

This car is really fun to drive. It cranks on the first turn of the key and runs great. The transmission shifts smoothly and the car drives straight down the road. The brakes stop it easily and aren’t shaky at all. It is also a pretty quick car with the cammed 350. It is still very streetable though. This car was set up to be driven on the street and does a great job at it. Thic car would make a great driver for anyone who likes this era Nova. This is a fun car that can be bought and driven home right away, nothing needs to be done to get this car up to good driver quality.
